Job Purpose:
The Retail Account Executive is responsible for representing, developing, and expanding the NuFACE brand within prestigious and specialty retail partners. This is achieved through comprehensive training, education, events, and effective business management within designated territories.
Essential Functions:
- Strategically plan and implement successful events by enhancing sales through client demonstrations and training sessions
- Inspire, train, and influence Specialists to effectively educate and sell NuFACE products
- Provide training and coaching to Selling Specialists on brand knowledge, product features, and tool demonstrations, while ensuring thorough follow-up on accounts
- Collaborate with retail associates in direct sales efforts
- Set a positive example when demonstrating products and building sales while upholding merchandising standards, adhering to store policies, and following established procedures
- Regularly update, correct, and uphold all merchandising standards, including shelf strips and end caps
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with retailers through consistent communication with the Beauty Managers and Store Associates/Product Specialists
- Conduct quarterly training sessions in stores to introduce new products, reinforce core offerings, and motivate the team to sell NuFACE products
- Work closely with the VP, Retail & Director of Retail Key Accounts to coordinate details regarding Seasonal Department Manager, Cosmetic, Regional, and Store GM meetings
- Effectively plan and manage time when scheduling store visits to enhance efficiency and drive revenue.
- Organize, participate in, and execute store events to achieve sales goals
- Review and assess daily and weekly sales performance by location, comparing results against budget, previous year’s performance, and company objectives. Collaborate with the VP of Retail & Director of Retail Key Accounts to develop strategies for exceeding goals at each location
- Adhere to deadlines for all requests, including but not limited to calendars (to be completed three months in advance) and weekly expense reports entered into Paycom
- Follow company budget guidelines and utilize resources to achieve end goals
- Ensure prompt responses to all phone calls, emails, and communications from retail partners, management, and corporate office employees
- Commitment to the company's quality management system and compliance with regulatory standards
- Inform the VP, Retail of all training and educational dates to ensure that any additional complimentary resources are procured 4-6 weeks ahead of time
- Other projects and responsibilities as directed by management
Managing Retail Selling Specialist:
- Develop, mentor, and train Selling Specialist on NuFACE product knowledge, demonstration techniques and merchandising standards in conjunction with the training + education team
- Provide on-going training to Selling Specialist on how to utilize Paycom, ensuring proper use of timeclocks, comments, punch request, availability and scheduling tools
- Ensure Selling Specialist adhere to the dress code protocol when engaging with retailer partners.
- Oversee and maintain compliance with the monthly Selling Specialist budget allocated by the VP, Retail & Director of Retail Key Accounts
- Schedule Specialist in Paycom to each retailer in alignment with the retail sales calendar to meet monthly objectives; planning 2-3 months in advance based on seasonal demands and Selling Specialist productivity
- Instruct SS on the execution of in-store events, including setup and implementation
- Evaluate weekly productivity, offer coaching to help achieve goals, and make necessary adjustments promptly
- Provide daily recap on selling specialist productivity and sales
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or related field
- 2-3+ years of experience working with prestige or specialty retailers, preferably Nordstrom, Sephora, and ULTA.
- 2-3+ years of management experience
- Experience working with Retail Department, Stores and Regional Managers
- Experience overseeing budgets and expenses (preferred)
- Superior selling skills with proven ability to set and achieve sales goals required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Exceptional public speaking skills required
- Ability to travel within designated region as required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
