Position Summary

As a Scare Actor at our haunted attraction, you will play a pivotal role in delivering electrifying, immersive, and memorable experiences for every guest. You will fully embody your assigned character, performing with energy and authenticity to evoke genuine thrills and chills. Working collaboratively with fellow cast and crew, you will help maintain a consistently eerie and captivating environment throughout the attraction, ensuring every visitor leaves with unforgettable memories. Your dedication to performance, teamwork, and guest engagement will be essential in bringing our haunted world to life

 

Key Responsibilities

Character Immersion and Performance

  • Completely inhabit your assigned character, maintaining a consistent and authentic persona whenever visible to guests to ensure a seamless and believable experience.
  • Employ strong improvisational skills to engage spontaneously and convincingly with guests, deepening their immersion in the attraction.
  • Adjust your performance in real time based on guest reactions and supervisor feedback to maximize the scare factor and entertainment value.

Guest Experience and Interaction

  • Deliver precise, well-timed scares and actions to guide guest flow and sustain the attraction’s pacing and suspense.
  • Embrace opportunities for creative ad-libbing and unscripted interactions, providing personalized experiences that leave a lasting impression.
  • Use your voice, physicality, and stage presence to intensify suspense and excitement, actively contributing to the haunted environment.

Maze-Specific Performance

  • Tailor your scare techniques and character behavior to fit the distinct theme, storyline, and atmosphere of your assigned maze or area.
  • Integrate props, set pieces, and environmental effects into your performance to enhance realism and elevate the intensity of each encounter.

Team Coordination and Adaptability

  • Take direction from supervisors and adapt your role as needed to accommodate operational changes or variations in guest traffic.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with fellow actors, technicians, and management to ensure seamless, safe, and high-quality operations12.

Safety and Compliance

  • Remain vigilant for safety hazards, rule violations, or guest concerns, and report them immediately to maintain a secure environment for all.
  • Rigorously follow all safety protocols to safeguard yourself, your colleagues, and our guests at every stage of the attraction.

Qualifications

Requirements

Availability:

Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods, demonstrating consistent attendance and punctuality.

Physical Stamina:

Capable of standing, walking, running, and moving rapidly for extended periods in a physically demanding environment.

Environmental Adaptability:

Comfortable operating in dark, confined, and low-visibility spaces, with exposure to special effects such as strobe lights, fog, and loud noises.

Teamwork:

Exhibits strong collaboration skills and works effectively with a diverse team of actors, technical staff, and supervisors.

Performance Skills:

Adept at reading guest reactions and dynamically adjusting performance style and intensity to maximize engagement and scare impact.
