Cashier

Seasonal Position: 9/13/2025 – 11/09/2025

Job Summary:

As a Cashier at our haunted attraction, you'll be the gateway to terror, responsible for processing payments, managing inventory, and enhancing our guests' experience through exceptional customer service and strategic upselling. You'll set the tone for visitors' experience, creating an unforgettable first impression.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing:

• Operate Square payment system to process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and swiftly
• Issue receipts, handle refunds or exchanges when necessary
• Balance the cash register and generate end-of-day reports

Customer Service:

• Greet guests with a haunting smile and provide friendly, yet eerie assistance.
• Answer questions about the attraction, pricing, and special offers
• Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally

Upselling and Add-ons:

• Promote and sell add-ons, merchandise, and upgrades to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
• Inform guests about bundle deals or special promotions

Inventory Management:

• Monitor stock levels of merchandise and report low inventory to management
• Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining an organized sales area
• Participate in regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy

Queue Management:

• Assist in managing the queue line, ensuring efficient flow of guests into the attraction.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 and over to apply to this position. 
• Availability: Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Consistent attendance is expected.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and move around the event area.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Proficiency in the Square payment system or the ability to learn quickly. 
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds for restocking purposes
