Job Summary:
The Equipment Technician will troubleshoot, repair and track the maintenance, and utilization of our organization’s equipment. The Equipment Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained, available when needed, and compliant with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of equipment lifecycle management best practices, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be capable of collaborating with various stakeholders.
Job Goals:
- Troubleshoot equipment-related problems and provide technical assistance and support as needed during normal and non-normal business hours.
- Conduct repair maintenance for all equipment including documentation of activities.
- Support the procurement process for equipment, maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment assignments ensuring proper labeling, tagging, and documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand the use of all equipment in the field.
- Diagnose and repair items sent from the field.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Receive/ship equipment from/to the field - Load vehicle with equipment.
- Respond to help desk (ZOHO) tickets from the field.
- Be available for after-hours requests and occasional travel.
- Other tasks/responsibilities assigned by the Equipment Team Leader, needed to support the overall function of the GPRS as a company.
- Monitor equipment utilization and suggest best practices for maintenance, upkeep, and usage for all field equipment.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives/advancements in equipment technology to enhance equipment practices, recommending upgrades and/or replacements, as necessary.
