CNC Field Service Senior Technician

We are seeking a dedicated CNC Machine Tool Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will represent our service department with unparalleled professionalism and work ethic. You will be responsible for servicing our extensive customer base with relentless urgency and developing strong working relationships at the local level.

• Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, commission, and troubleshoot CNC controlled machine tools.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, performing necessary repairs and installations.
• Install new machines and provide basic customer guidance on machine operation, maintenance, and safety at customer locations.
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Uphold a positive, professional attitude and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Understand I/O modules, servo amplifiers, and electrical components in control cabinets.
• Comprehend the relationship between axis motors and feedback systems for each axis.
• Demonstrate experience with electrical, hydraulics, EtherCAT, Ethernet, pneumatics, electronics, and blueprint reading.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting CNC machine tools, prefer 5 or more years of experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to provide customer training on machine operation, maintenance, and safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
• Positive and professional attitude with a background in customer service.
• Capability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of I/O modules, servo amplifiers, electrical components, axis motors, and feedback systems.
• Experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, EtherCAT, Ethernet, pneumatics, electronics, and blueprint reading.
• Must be able to work overtime as required. 
• Must be able to travel up to 75%
