Description

Job Objective:

To assist in managing daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and productivity within the E-Commerce Department. Act as the primary lead in the absence of the E-Commerce Manager, overseeing the supervision of staff. Help coordinate tasks, maintain quality standards, and provide guidance to ensure smooth operations and the successful achievement of e-commerce goals. This position reports to E-Commerce Manager who evaluates performance annually.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • E-Commerce department employees
  • Program participants assigned to E-Commerce department

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the manager with daily operations across assigned departments, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Master and implement software programs including ShopGoodwill, Shopify, eBay, Amazon, etc., and shipping platforms.
  • Develop listing strategies and maintain data methods to track returns, refunds, and precious metals data.
  • Train and develop employees and program participants, providing feedback in collaboration with Mission Services.
  • Research and identify unique donated items.
  • Maintain professionalism in customer and vendor communication, while monitoring industry trends and business growth opportunities.
  • Administer and oversee employee disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies, ensuring fairness, consistency, and proper documentation.
  • Keep accurate records of department supplies, inventory, and e-commerce containers, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Required Education and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or the ability to obtain through The Excel Center.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and hold them accountable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with staff, customers, and management.

Proficient in…

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills to manage operations efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Shopify, eBay, Amazon, or proprietary online store systems.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing, product listings, and optimizing content for online visibility.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce software, POS systems, shipping tools, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
  • Master all tasks within the department and train others to perform them effectively.
  • Handle the pressures of meeting production quotas efficiently.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.

Qualifications:

  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Flexible availability.
  • Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
