We are currently looking for an eager, capable individual for the position of Project Manager for our Western Division in Blacksburg, VA.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support and adhere to the mission, values and policies of Eagle;
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite.
  • Manages construction of assigned homes from field release to completion of celebration walk-thru. Ensuring homes are completed on schedule, per-plan and to the “Eagle Standard”.
  • Ensure homes are punched out and ready for Home Orientation Walk. And ensure all QAL items are completed prior to Celebration Walk.
  • Send all QAL lists to Production Support and VP of Production after celebration Walk.
  • Initiate Elevate pre-con meeting with the buyer, following the hand-off from design. Follow Elevate process through completion of home and hand off to warranty.
  • Develop relationships with trade partners, county inspectors and Eagle team members to create a positive working environment on all projects.
  • Evaluate trade partner performance and scope of work completion prior to approval of payment.
  • Coordinate all material deliveries, staging, and prompt return of unused product.
  • Be a proficient ITK, Builder Signal, & BIM.
    • Update ITK schedules daily on all active jobs.
    • Check and clear ITK dashboard daily.
  • Update Builder Signal weekly on all active homes.
  • Train and develop Assistant Project Manager and laborers.
  • Review community, sales, and construction status with neighborhood sales consultant weekly.
  • Attend monthly production team meeting and weekly meetings with Directors.
  • Work with Drafting and Purchasing teams creating a feedback loop on budgets and plans.
  • Complete and send to Purchasing preconstruction variance reports
  • Review Home Sight reports, plans, and budgets prior to digging footing.
  • Walks all homes on a daily basis to ensure imperfections are noted and all Homebuyers options and extras are completed.
  • Supervise on-site construction personnel including trade partners, inspectors, and suppliers. Inspect all work during construction through the use of scopes of work and checklists to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Ensure Trade Partners are practicing safety and OSHA Compliance. (i.e. hard hats, fall protection, PPE)
  • Maintain SWPPP binder and update logs as required. Work with contractors to ensure silt fence is kept up and DI protection is in place.
  • Complete 10 HR OSHA training, first aid certification and CPR training.
  • Any and all other requirements as needed and set by Regional Managers, Directors of Construction and Project Managers.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Possess 2 or more years of successful home construction management.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
  • Possess the ability to adapt to all-season outdoor work with exposure to the elements and walking in communities with changing terrain and conditions on a frequent basis.
  • Job requires the ability to walk multiple flights of stairs daily.
  • The employee must lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel is required between the office and communities.
  • Must be attentive to detail.
  • A team player with excellent communication and a positive attitude.
  • Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Communicate with Director of Residential Construction on how to resolve problems.
  • Individual prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
