Fabricator

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Fabricator to join our growing Production team! The Fabricator is responsible for fabricating steel parts and accessories for a wide variety of pallet, bag handling, case, and bottling equipment.

Job Duties:

• Set up and run Laser, brake press and Plasma Tube cutter.
• Use of lathe and milling machines
• Read and follow blueprints and the laying out of parts
• Complete paper work daily
• Perform quality control checks
• Operate the forklift and overhead cranes as needed
• Use of Horizontal Band Saw
• Maintain material supply
• Provide on the job training to new and temporary employees
• Assist in other departments as needed
• Maintain and clean work area and Equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to work overtime as needed 
• Comply with the company safety standards 
• Good knowledge of tooling changes and bend deductions
• Must have own tools 
• Ability to read and follow blueprint drawings 
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States 
• Machine assembly including use of general shop hand tools 
• Positive attitude in a team working environment 
• Fork truck driver’s license 

Education/Experience:

• 2 - 5 years’ work experience assembling conveyors or like components 
• 2 - 5 years’ experience with steel or sheet metal fabrication in a manufacturing environment 

Desired/Required:

• CNC set up and programming experience a plus 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate other shop equipment such as vertical milling machine, punching machines, lathe and cutting saws 
• Ability to operate overhead crane up to 15 tons
