Position Summary

 

The Director of Hospital Engagement is developing a nationwide strategy to grow and optimize its contracted hospital network. This role drives high-impact partnerships with hospital systems, C-suite executives, and health system administrators to expand access, improve provider network, and enhance the competitiveness of USA MCO’s Medigap and managed care offerings. The Director will oversee relationship management, and internal coordination across legal, finance, and operations to ensure sustainable, compliant, and value-based partnerships.

 

 


 

Strategic Network Expansion

 

  • Lead and develop organization hospital contracting strategy aligned with market expansion goals.
  • Identify target facilities and health systems based on geographic needs, market opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
  • Initiate and lead negotiations with C-level hospital executives, legal teams, and administrators.
  • Direct a multi-region pipeline of hospital and facility opportunities, ensuring progress through all contracting stages.

 

 

 

 

Executive Partner Engagement

 

  • Serve as executive liaison to strategic hospital partners and large health systems.
  • Represent USA MCO at high-level industry events, conferences, and meetings.

 

 

 

 

Contract Governance & Performance

 

  • Oversee legal and financial review of contracts, including rate structures, exclusivity terms, and performance guarantees.
  • Monitor facility partner performance, satisfaction, and compliance with contract terms.
  • Support integration of new providers into claims, billing, and eligibility systems.

 

 

 

 

Market Intelligence & Reporting

 

  • Provide executive leadership with data-driven insights on network gaps, provider performance, and contracting outcomes.
  • Monitor competitor networks and industry trends to inform USA MCO’s market positioning.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of network status, signed agreements, and pipeline metrics.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required or preferred

 

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 8 to 10 years in hospital network development, managed care contracting, or provider strategy
    • Proven experience leading national or regional hospital contracting strategy
    • Prior executive level engagement and high-dollar negotiation experience required
    •  
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Deep understanding of healthcare systems, hospital operations, and payer provider dynamics
    • Executive presence and ability to build relationships with C-suite stakeholders
    • Strategic thinker with strong financial and legal acumen
    • Effective communicator

 

  • Technology: Proficient in CRM, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and contracting systems

 

  • Travel: Willingness to travel domestically for partner meetings and industry events
