What you bring to Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in the State of Illinois.
Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering
- Familiarity with Bentley CAD Software (Microstation/OpenRoads Designer) and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Broad understanding of transportation design principles including roadway design, traffic studies, environmental documentation, and planning.
- Demonstrated success in developing client relationships and pursuing public infrastructure contracts.
- Valid Illinois Driver’s License and access to a registered, insured vehicle.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client service.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a larger team specifically as related to directing and scheduling project tasks.
- Committed to quality, continuous learning
- Self-starting, detail-oriented individual, with organizational and interpersonal skills capable of keeping track and reporting on multiple assigned tasks.
- A solid work ethic with the desire and willingness to develop the skillset and knowledge base to complete design tasks of select, low-complexity project disciplines.
