THE POSITION: Trade Sales and Activations Associate  

The Trade Sales and Activations Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Trade team by focusing on the execution of trade activations, events, and operational tasks. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure the seamless execution of trade engagement initiatives, effective event logistics management, and the tracking and analysis of trade program performance. The ideal candidate will be an organized, proactive, and results-driven individual who excels in handling multiple priorities and working with diverse teams to achieve business goals.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Track, report, and evaluate the performance of trade sales initiatives, events, and trade activations, summarizing results for program analysis. 

  • Coordinate cross-functional team calendars for sales, events, training, and activations, ensuring alignment across departments. 

  • Oversee the ordering, shipment, and timely delivery of marketing collateral, and ensure materials are ready for events and activations. 

  • Communicate with sales teams and manage logistics for trade events, including VIP marketing, venue research, and contract negotiations. 

  • Support large-scale trade visibility events (including but not limited to supporting brand participation in The Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse) and handling logistics, sales activations surrounding events and gift bag coordination. 

  • Trade program sign-ups and maintenance including merging accounts, updating discount levels, and reviewing accounts for growth opportunities. 

  • Analyze sales data, track market trends, and support strategic decisions with partnership from insights group, to summarize event and activation success. 

  • Field inquiries and provide support for trade programs, events, gift requests, and general trade-related questions. 

  • Act as trade team liaison for field sales team including Area Sales Managers, Regional Sales Directors and showroom team members.  

  • Coordinate team financial operations, including processing invoices, trade credit card expenses, and supporting purchase orders. 

  • Assist with special trade projects for Key Accounts including managing inquiries and sales opportunities. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field 

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in trade sales support, marketing or event coordination  

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Google Suite and familiarity with CRM and data analysis tools. 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams 

  • Ability to analyze data and generate insights to drive trade program success

The base salary range for the position is $75k-$85k, commensurate with experience.
