Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, human services, psychology, or related field.
- Previous knowledge of child welfare and community resources is required

A solid understanding of family dynamics is essential, including knowledge of mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect. The role also demands strong organizational and communication skills, with the capacity to engage families in meaningful assessment and planning, link them to culturally appropriate services, and ensure consistent follow-through and monitoring of participation. The ability to document services accurately, coordinate effectively with providers, and adapt to assigned duties or special projects is also required.

The position requires the ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in order to maintain accurate records and documentation. Skills in calculating percentages and averages are necessary for tracking service participation, monitoring outcomes, and preparing reports. The ability to apply these skills in practical situations, such as reviewing data for compliance and evaluating family progress is also required.
Reasoning Ability
The position requires the ability to define problems, collect and analyze information, and develop effective solutions to support families. Strong critical thinking skills are necessary to assess family dynamics, identify needs, and determine appropriate services and interventions. The role demands sound judgment in managing sensitive situations, addressing barriers to engagement, and making decisions that prioritize child safety and family well-being. The ability to interpret policies, apply procedures to unique circumstances, and adapt to changing situations while maintaining professionalism is essential.
Physical Demands
