WHAT YOU'LL DO:  The staff accountant will be responsible for the reconciliation of bank accounts, month end P&L and balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entry postings.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Reconciles bank accounts and investigates any differences.
  • Reconciles end of month GL account balances.
  • Records journal entries for fees and charges
  • Perform cash sweeps
  • Accurately gathers, compiles, and maintains basic customer/account information. 
  • Prepares and sends monthly revenue reports to customers
  • Filing and payment of sales tax
  • Maintain fixed asset subledger
  • Reconcile and posts corporate card program expenses
  • Summarize and issue commission reports
  • Optimizes customer satisfaction through professional and knowledgeable communication. 
  • Performs other duties or projects assigned by Accounting Manager, Controller, or CFO 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of general accounting principles 
  • 2+ years of experience in receivable and reconciliations
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Sage and Peachtree experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Exhibits a professional attitude during all interactions. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products 
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills 
  • Superior time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet goals. 
  • Ability to work professionally, independently and in a team environment.
