Director of Membership

What You'll Do:

  • Be readily available for prospective members to book tours and conduct walk-in tours.
  • Assist members who may not be comfortable with technology with processes like booking and requesting membership changes.
  • Follow all safety vetting procedures before joining new members, including processing individuals through Raptor, and ensure desk staff are informed of procedures for their first visit.
  • Report membership numbers consistently each week to JCC leadership, and provide an end-of-month report outlining the final numbers and analysis of trends, including but not limited to common complaints, trending cancellation reasons, and more.
  • Oversee the Welcome Desk Department and the Metairie Membership Manager.
  • Work with marketing and communications to implement promotions to grow and engage membership.
  • Oversee training initiatives for membership-related duties conducted by desk staff and ensure member-facing staff are always given the information needed to succeed when asked membership-related questions.
  • Prioritize membership category changes and manage daily time to process cancellations and freezes. Ensure all changes have been processed correctly.
  • To provide high-quality customer service, respond to all member emails by the end of the work day, even if an answer is not readily available. When an answer is available, respond promptly.
  • Manage special membership types, including senior, corporate, and newcomer, to ensure categories are changed to reflect the new cost of dues.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added to ensure the success of the New Orleans JCC.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of professional experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience and success in customer service
  • The most successful candidate will be self-motivated, work well independently, prioritize, problem-solve, and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and demonstration of proven sales experience.
  • Strong computer abilities, including knowledge of Google Workplace, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Lead by example; follow all policies and procedures as defined in the NOJCC Handbook and as directed by Agency leadership.
  • Basic awareness of Judaism and Jewish cultural norms and traditions.

Schedule:

Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, occasional weekends and evenings
