Preschool / Toddler / Infant Childcare Teachers - Full Time and Part Time Available!

It is almost BACK-TO-SCHOOL TIME!! 

And with that, we are looking for additional LEAD TEACHERS as well as ASSISTANT TEACHERS to join the Rainbow Station team at the New Canaan YMCA.   

Rainbow Station has two classrooms in each of our youngest age group (Infants, 1's and 2's), and 1 classroom each in our Preschool 3's and 4's.   

Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic and nurturing – with a passion for working with young children.

Our classroom teachers work together to provide a program which fosters children's social, physical, emotional and cognitive growth.  In addition to our classrooms, as part of the New Canaan YMCA, our childcare program has use of additional indoor space (such as the gymnasium and Bouncing Bears) and outdoor space (2 playgrounds), as well as other enhanced program offerings such as music classes and swim instruction (for the older classrooms).

Our center is open Mondays through Fridays, from 7:30am to 6pm

Successful Candidates will possess:

• High School diploma
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Development
• A "Safety First" mindset
• Excellent communication skills and an abundance of patience
• Punctual and reliable
• A love of singing, storytelling, imaginative play and crafts
• Responsive and flexible to the needs of the program
• Ability to work well with children in cooperation with other staff and parents of participants

**Salary range shows starting wage for Assistant Teachers up through top wage for experience Lead Teachers.  Specific wage range for candidates will be discussed during interview process, related to professional experience and role qualifications
