Description

The Unit Leader provides administrative and clinical to the program to assure quality delivery of service and compliance with all applicable external rules and regulation. Unit Leader’s may also be required to provide direct service to clients of the program through assessment or an assigned caseload.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Reviews and/or completes all intakes paperwork for program referrals based on Camelot policy and procedures as well as contractual requirements.
  2. 2. Reviews and/or completes discharge documentation according to Camelot policy and procedures as well as contractual requirements.
  3. Assist the Program Supervisor in the recruitment, screening and hiring of program staff.
  4. Participates in referral development and community engagement activities as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
  5. Assist in tracking and responding to referrals made to the program. Assigns referrals for assessment according to procedures.
  6. Assures funding approval and prior authorization of services as required by contractual and funding regulations.
  7.  Assures service and case documentation for clients served is completed timely, accurately and entered into required information systems.
  8. Assures the clinical quality and integrity of all therapeutic programs as required by all applicable standards and policies; seeks out and analyzes problem area in order to improve quality of care. Reports quality assurance activities and findings to the Program Supervisor.
  9. Provides clinical supervision on an individual or group basis as appropriate to program structure and need. Supervision is provided in compliance with Camelot Policy and Procedures.
  10. Provides on-call support to the program as part of a rotation or assigned by the Programs Supervisor.
  11. Carries a caseload of clients providing direct service as determined by the Program Supervisor.
  12. Monitors and evaluates program staff professional development needs via supervision, direct observation and staff development planning.
  13. Attends clinical and administrative meetings as directed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Human Service discipline from an accredited four-year Collage or University and at least two years’ experience working with children/adolescents involved in the child welfare system.
