SUMMARY:
Directly supervises employees in the Housekeeping department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures and applicable law. Manages other team members. Responsible for meeting or surpassing all departmental goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assigns duties and shifts to staff; monitors job performances. Sets and monitors cleaning standards for guest rooms and public areas. Provides daily workloads and creates assignments for room attendants. Conducts daily inspections of hotel rooms and related areas to ensure the set quality of standards are maintained. Inspects guest rooms and public areas for standards' compliance. Confers and cooperates with Executive Housekeeper to ensure coordination of activities and efforts. Assist Executive housekeeper with inventory items controlled by the housekeeping department. Informs Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper of supplies needed to ensure all room attendants can effectively and efficiently perform their required job functions. Assist in the direct training of new team members. Completes all pertinent information reports and forecasts as needed. Issues uniforms and linens when needed. Maintain an open line of communication with Management. Maintains regular attendance and arrives on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings. Complies with BlueWater Resort & Casino rules and regulations; ensures all employees are in compliance. Complies with Federal, State and Tribal laws. Works in safe manner; complies with company and OSHA safety standards. All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).

Must demonstrate the ability to solve hotel related problems; clear verbal and written communication skills are required. Employee must be able to deal patiently with guest complaints and remain courteous when faced with difficult or aggravated people. The ability to multi-task and stay organized is essential to job performance. Should have a clear and pleasant speaking voice and be fluent in English.
