What You’ll Bring to the Role:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Experience & Expertise:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience processing payroll for a large (200+ employee) organization.
- Proficiency in Paycom payroll processing system preferred; experience with UKG a plus.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Experience with collective bargaining agreements and union payroll processing is highly desirable.
Core Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish) preferred.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
This role operates in a professional office environment. The employee must have dexterity in using a telephone, computer keyboard, and other office equipment while sitting at a desk. Occasional movement within the office is required to interact with colleagues.
Other Conditions of Employment:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
- Must pass a pre-employment health screening/TB test.
- Must clear a background check (Live Scan fingerprinting).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee records.
