The Video & Media Specialist will work to inspire engagement for various ministries by leveraging video and motion graphics to capture and share creative content that demonstrates God’s impact and encourages others to grow in relationship with Him. This position is perfect for an outgoing individual, whom God has gifted with; a heart for helping people connect with Jesus, an exemplary imagination, a knack for storytelling, unique creative ability that applies biblical values to current culture, technical aptitude and outstanding communication abilities.

 

What you’ll be doing

Video Arts

  • Help film and create video and content to capture and share the story of Sunday Services and other ministry environments to promote ministry initiatives and events

  • Help edit videos needed in alignment with The Crossing standard of excellence for creative content

  • Regularly assess videos promoting ministries and update as appropriate to keep all content current and relevant

  • Collaborate with and take direction from the Video Arts Pastor, church leaders and content creators, to execute the content vision

  • Meet consistently with Video Arts Pastor for coaching, direction, and accountability to maintain a consistent standard of excellence

  • Help recruit, train and empower volunteers to assist with video needs for Sunday Services, weeknights ministry environments and others as needed

 

General 

  • Attend any programming or creative team meetings as needed

  • Help create and foster an environment of collaboration with peers to ensure the delivery of high quality

  • content including video and motion graphics

  • Proactively stay current and knowledgeable of existing and emerging video/film trends and

  • technologies

  • Obtain and keep current any needed video release forms for ministries when necessary

  • Other related duties as needed

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma

  • Minimum Experience: Six months in professional video, creative media or related role

  • General technical ability and a hunger to learn and develop high technical proficiency in:

    • Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro X and/or Davinci Resolve

    • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and/or Motion

  • Familiar with:

    • Trapcode Particular

    • Cinema 4D

    • Other Plugins as needed

  • Demonstrates strong technology experience (Gmail, Google Docs, Word, Excel, Rock, etc.)

  • Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience with graphic design, and/or brand awareness

  • Preferred Experience: Two years in an equivalent church setting or non-profit organization

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check

  • Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
