The Administrative Assistant to the Campus & Experience Pastor plays a vital role in helping people discover and follow Jesus by ensuring smooth operations, strategic alignment, and clear communication across campuses and ministry teams. By managing schedules, coordinating initiatives, and providing strong administrative support, this role advances the vision God has given our church. The assistant helps create a culture of authentic community and supports the ministry teams in clearly communicating the mission, vision, and values of The Crossing—all to help more people take their next step with Jesus.

What you’ll be doing

Administrative & Calendar Management

  • Manage calendar across campuses, departments, and leadership meetings
  • Coordinate all meetings, 1:1s, and cross-campus meetings to support alignment and rhythm
  • Prepare agendas, capture action items, and appropriately remind teams 
  • Anticipate scheduling needs and proactively adjust for changing priorities
  • Submit and manage all needed portal requests
  • Perform general office duties such as copying, filing, mailing, etc
  • Answer / return phone calls and emails as requested
  • Run errands as needed

Campuses & Central Services 

  • Assist campuses on needed elements and support on Sundays (ex. Events, administrative coverage)
  • Support central service teams by ensuring e-space clarity, supply ordering, and helping keep campuses in the loop
  • Assist in communication flow between campuses, central teams, and senior leadership
  • Assist in all-church events & gatherings as needed. (Tree Lighting, Money Rehab)

Project & Systems Coordination

  • Help track strategic goals, feedback loops, and systems development efforts across teams (programming, production, communication, etc.)
  • Maintain documents, process maps, and planning tools related to church wide initiatives
  • Support coordination on long-range planning, campus launches, and churchwide creativity cycles

Team & Culture Support

  • Assist in preparation and delivery of leadership development content for staff teams
  • Coordinate logistics for team events, retreats, and development rhythms
  • Help maintain a culture of clarity, excellence, and follow-through by anticipating needs and offering solutions

General: 

  • Respond promptly to email and text messages during working hours
  • Respond knowledgeably to general ministry questions, both internally and externally, via phone, email, and social media
  • Other related duties as needed

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma
  • Minimum Experience: One year in a related position in a small business, non-profit or equivalent church setting 
  • Demonstrates strong leadership ability and a positive, Godly influence to kids and the next generation
  • Demonstrates strong technology experience (Gmail, Google Docs, Asana, Rock, etc.)
  • Preferred Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Preferred Experience: Three years of work on the kids team in an equivalent church setting or non-profit organization
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check
  • Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
