The Lincoln Center (TLC), established in 1970 by a behavioral health hospital and incorporated in
1983 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is an entrepreneurial social enterprise dedicated to transforming
lives and communities—one moment, one choice, one connection at a time. Headquartered in
Pennsylvania, TLC operates across multiple states, delivering K-12 alternative education,
comprehensive mental and behavioral health services, coaching, counseling, and trauma-informed
training. TLC also partners with school districts, universities, hospitals, police departments, and
other nonprofit organizations, providing consultation to secure federal and state grant funding
Summary: The Behavioral Sanitation Worker will work with a Lincoln Center counselor, a caseworker,
and hoarding clients to address clients’ home cleanliness in a therapeutic manner. The Behavioral
Sanitation Worker must be comfortable working in extreme clutter situations while being sensitive
and understanding that it is difficult for a hoarder to part with belongings.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Collect and move trash and debris from Chester County homes that are hoarding environments and
have extreme disorganization and clutter
• Perform light maintenance and minor repair work

• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with staff, case workers and contractors
• Knowledge of tools and supplies needed to appropriately and safely handle items found in homes
that are non-useable, unsanitary, and/or hazardous
• Hazmat experience a plus

Proficient Microsoft office, computer, and administrative skills (documentation requires writing
proficiency)
Work Environment: Home settings, indoors and outdoors.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met
by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee
frequently is required to stand, walk, climb, crouch, reach with hands and arms and be able to lift
and/or move at least 50 pounds.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.
Travel: Travel to service sites such as home settings throughout Chester County. Use of a
reliable car is necessary for travel to service sites.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
