Education and/or experience:
- MLIS degree required from an accredited college or university;
- Three years relevant experience;
- Equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience may be considered;
- Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understands and performs basic functions and tasks of common software programs and email applications;
- Ability to analyze data, evaluate materials, and work with vendor services;
- Thorough knowledge of library policies and procedures;
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of materials selection and collection maintenance;
- Thorough knowledge of curating and maintaining library system nonfiction collection for adults, adhering to the library system Collection Development Policy;
- Ability to track and monitor budgets;
- Strong skills in written and spoken business communications;
- Working knowledge in the operation of computers and office machines, and standard office software products, electronic resources, internet and database retrieval;
- Lift up to 25 lbs; ability to retrieve and replace items from floor level to at least 5 1/2 feet in height;
- Work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends.
