Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Physical Education Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Deliver High-Quality Instruction: Teach physical education classes for students in grades K–5 using the Spark curriculum and standards-based lesson planning
- Foster Active Participation: Provide equal opportunities for all students to engage and grow through team sports, personal fitness, and individual movement activities
- Promote Safety and Technique: Ensure safe and effective practices in all physical activities while creating a positive, respectful classroom environment
- Develop Social Skills: Teach teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship alongside physical fitness goals
- Set Goals for Success: Establish both short- and long-term goals for students based on their needs and program evaluations
- Track Student Progress: Maintain lesson plans, gradebooks, and conduct regular assessments to monitor student growth and achievement
- Manage Resources: Organize and maintain sports equipment to ensure safety, accessibility, and readiness for use
- Integrate Technology: Utilize basic technology tools to enhance instruction and monitor student progress effectively
