Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Assistant/Intern Teacher at CLA/VPA, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Co-Teach and Lead Small Group Instruction: Assist with teaching and classroom lessons while providing targeted support to individual students at either CLA (PK–5) or VPA (6–12)
- Prepare Instructional Materials: Help with the preparation and distribution of lesson materials, assignments, and resources
- Support Classroom Management: Assist with grading, behavior management, and overall classroom supervision
- Help with School Routines: Support daily school routines such as arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess
- Collaborate with Educators: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to reinforce a positive, engaging learning environment
