Description of the role:

The Lot Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the presentation and organization of the dealership’s vehicle inventory. This role oversees vehicle staging, movement, and display layout to maintain a clean, professional, and customer-ready lot. Key responsibilities include coordinating the detailing and preparation of both new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring each unit meets dealership standards for appearance and readiness. The coordinator works closely with the sales and service departments to prioritize vehicle availability and assists in maintaining fuel levels for test drives and delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the vehicle detailing team (or perform detailing tasks directly in smaller operations)
  • Ensure all new and pre-owned vehicles are cleaned, detailed, and reconditioned to dealership standards
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and readiness for the showroom or lot
  • Organize and maintain the layout of the dealership lot to optimize appearance and customer accessibility
  • Coordinate the staging of vehicles for sale, display, or test drives
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lot
  • rack incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Coordinate movement of vehicles between service, sales, and reconditioning departments
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled and ready for customer test drives or delivery.
  • Work closely with sales and service managers to prioritize vehicle readiness based on customer needs
  • Communicate regularly with staff to ensure inventory is updated, well-maintained, and aligned with dealership goals

Qualifications

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Able to work full-time, including Saturdays and Sundays
  • Previous experience in automotive detailing or lot operations is often preferred
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
