Description of the role:

We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team—no prior automotive experience is required! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic and customer-focused mindset, be eager to learn, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit. While sales experience is not required, a willingness to engage with customers and collaborate with team members is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase pre-owned vehicles for dealership inventory through auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, and other channels.
  • Evaluate vehicle condition, market demand, and resale potential to determine appropriate purchase price.
  • Conduct test drives and vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical soundness and cosmetic condition meet dealership standards.
  • Review vehicle history reports (e.g., CARFAX) to verify mileage, accident history, and service records.
  • Negotiate pricing with sellers and wholesalers to obtain vehicles at competitive rates.
  • Stay informed of current market trends, pricing fluctuations, and inventory needs to make smart buying decisions.
  • Maintain and update records on vehicle purchases, titles, appraisals, and purchase agreements.
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics for purchased vehicles to ensure timely delivery to the dealership.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure purchased vehicles meet customer and dealership standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with auction houses, wholesalers, and private sellers.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to vehicle purchasing, documentation, and titling.
  • Monitor and manage inventory turnover, aiming for optimal stock levels and vehicle age.

Qualifications

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • No automotive experience needed
  • Have an enthusiastic attitude with high energy throughout the workday
  • Be a great communicator with customers and team members
  • Entrepreneurial and ambitious spirit 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Sales experience not required
