The JobÂ
The Peer Support Specialist utilizes their own lived experience with mental health, trauma, substance use, and other big life events to assist relate, connect and walk alongside others as they are navigating their journey. We utilize the Intentional Peer Support framework to build strong connections, communities and alternative options for services.

What Will You DoÂ
- Work as a member of the HOPE/CARES team to assist with daily program operations and provide Intentional Peer Support to individuals referred and/or seeking services. Â
- Provide education and advocacy as needed so individuals can make informed decisions regarding their own avenues of finding wellness and healingÂ
- Maintain confidentiality – Adhere to strict policy of keeping all individual’s information safe by maintaining confidentialityÂ
- Provide individualized support as they navigate systems and community resources, keeping trauma informed and person directed approachÂ
- Complete all necessary documentation
- Adhere to all program policies and procedureÂ
