Qualifications
Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Strong communication and customer service skills
-
Ability to work in a physically demanding and emotionally sensitive environment
Preferred:
Key Responsibilities
-
Safely transport patients to and from surgery, recovery rooms, and other departments
-
Assist patients with entering and exiting stretchers, beds, or wheelchairs

Support surgical team by preparing transport equipment and verifying patient identification

Provide physical and emotional support to patients during transport

Handle lab specimens and medical supplies as needed

Keep stretchers, wheelchairs, and other transport tools clean and functional

Deliver equipment and assist with general organization within the Surgery Department

Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to hospital safety and infection control procedures
