Title:                            Physical Therapy Assistant

Reports To:                Therapy Liaison

Location:                   Southwest Houston, TX

Compensation:        Full time: $47 to $52/visit + benefits

                                  PRN: $53 to $58/visit

Job Summary:

A Physical Therapy Assistant is someone who provides coordinated physical therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This position will promote patients' potential during their home health episode and collaborates with physician, clinical team and patient in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

  • Treats patients as directed by the physical therapist
  • Records treatments given in medical record
  • Participates in patient care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings
  • Communicates with supervising therapist, rehab director and other interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans
  • Participates in facility in-service training programs
  • Records daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedure and state Physical Therapy rules

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current license in practicing state
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff
  • Must be capable of performing the Responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations
