EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEÂ
•   2 years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
•   Training and experience in tutoring, mentoring, or teaching preferred. (May be volunteer experience.)Â
•   Experience with and aptitude for working with children, adults, and families in a multi-cultural setting.
PREFERRED SKILLS and/or ABILITIESÂ
•   Experience with and aptitude for working with children and families.Â
•   PC literate. Knowledge of basic computer Internet use and applications, (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).Â
•   Knowledge of educational software helpful.Â
•   Willingness and interest in learning new computer programs and applications.Â
•   Good communication (verbal and written), decision-making and evaluation skills.Â

This position may require travel during the business day between sites, attend trainings and or visit retail stores. Â

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents, school officials and employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Â
