SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Security Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees. The Security Manager’s

performance is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are major duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive or restrictive.

  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission statement, and objectives of Comanche Nation Entertainment as well as established policies, procedures, and controls
  • Responsible for disciplining, performance appraisals, and addressing employee issues.
  • Handles problems or grievances (employees/guests) as soon as the need arises within the Security department. Capable of making critical decisions. Must follow prescribed chain of command.
  • Responsible for the adherence and maintenance of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assures compliance with Tribal, State, and Federal Internal Controls requirements by constant review and update of Internal Controls.
  • Prepares and submits annual budget to General Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:

The Security Manager supervises personnel in their day-to-day activities and is responsible for scheduling, training, and evaluating security staff.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

The Security Manager regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests, and operates a computer and other office equipment. The Security Manager will regularly be required to remain in a stationary position 50 percent or more of the time. Depending on weather, the Security Manager will be exposed to extreme cold or heat, temperatures varying from below 32 degrees to 100 degrees or more, for periods of more than one hour.

Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where there may be flashing lights and the noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on the time of day, the specific location and the amount of business. The Security Manager must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and in a smoke-filled environment.

The Security Manager may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve contentious issues with difficult guests and staff members.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalency to include Home School Certificate.
  • Two (2) year degree in the Law Enforcement field or related area from a two-year college or university; or
  • Three (3) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a stable employment history. Must be able to report for duty as scheduled.
