POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Controller oversees all aspects of the company's financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Leads and develops the Accounting Department and functions as a member of the EBCO Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Direction & Execution:
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create and execute financial strategies that support the overall business objectives.Â
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide insights and strategic guidance to the leadership team regarding financial planning and decision making.
- Oversee strategic partnerships with clients, vendors and third parties to enhance organizational resilience and add value to the business
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, such as credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
- Assess, manage and deploy effective usage of Accounting Systems and Software.

Lead and Manage for Accountability:
- Protects assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information through consistent and effective processes, strong internal controls and interdepartmental collaboration.
- Manage the accounting department, including tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger maintenance.
- Build financial knowledge, skills and bench strength in the Accounting Department.Â
- Foster an environment of empowerment, collaboration and growth and align departmental goals with organizational strategies and objectives. Â

Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate across departments to develop and manage the company’s budget, monitor variances and provide financial forecasts, insights, and guidance.
- Identify and implement improvements to the budgeting and forecasting processes.

Capital Management:
- Manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet obligations and invest in growth opportunities.
- Manage the company’s capital structure, including debt, equity, and other financing options.
- Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities, ensuring the company’s capital is deployed efficiently.

Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations and accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statement and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
