Varsity Cross Country Assistant Coach (Part-Time)

.  Founded in 1873 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, NDP is rooted in tradition but contemporary in education empowering its students to become women who transform the world. The school’s original mission, to foster academic excellence, spiritual growth and practice social justice in its students continues to inspire the approximately 800 girls currently enrolled in grades 6-12. The right candidates will enjoy working in a mission-driven, religious educational setting. Employment is part-time/seasonal, beginning in mid- to late-August 2025. Approximate season dates: August 15, 2025 to November 6, 2025.

Overview:

Qualified candidates will assist with coaching the team, coordinate and organize team selections, execute practice sessions as well as assist with management of meets and team communications. 

Responsibilities: 

• Attend each practice from 3:30pm - 5:30pm Mondays to Fridays and occasional Saturday mornings
• Attend team’s meets, typically weekdays or Saturdays throughout the season
• Work with a group of adolescent athletes in coaching running events

The ideal candidate will possess:

• High school coaching experience
• Experience as a competitive athlete at the high school or college level 
• Ability to run with the team for portions of practice
• CPR and lifeguard certifications preferred 
• Willingness to work collaboratively with coaching staff and parents
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
