The School-Based Clinician provides comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents within educational settings. This role encompasses conducting thorough evaluations, delivering evidence-based individual and family therapy, and offering case consultations. The clinician must demonstrate expertise in childhood and adolescent diagnoses, developmental stages, and the biopsychosocial factors affecting development. Core responsibilities include formulating individualized treatment plans, and maintaining effective communication with school personnel, including administrators, teachers, and special education staff. The position requires active participation in administrative and clinical meetings, collaborative work with interdisciplinary teams, engagement in clinical supervision, and consistent communication with referral sources. Additionally, the clinician coordinates with utilization review staff to ensure proper service authorization while independently managing their schedule to meet both patient and organizational needs
