The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Foster Care Specialist - Case Manager to join our Foster Care department. The Foster Care Specialist - Case Manager provides direct support and case management services to the foster parents, natural parents, and children in Foster Care and assures that all documentation and reports associated with this position are completed.

What you'll do:
- Assess prospective foster parent candidates and licensed foster parents to determine their ability to meet all legal requirements of ODJFS and accrediting bodies.
- Evaluate prospective parents and licensed foster parents’ ability to meet the social, emotional, medical, physical, mental health and educational needs of foster youth.
- Exhibit the ability to gauge the safety and stability of children in foster placement.
- Identify the child’s emotional, physical, social, and educational needs in collaboration with the child’s treatment team. Assesses situations, identifies risk, and develops effective solutions.
- Facilitate relationships between birth parents and foster families when appropriate.
- Identify indicators of age-appropriate development in all domains for children of varying ages.
- Deliver brief, trauma-informed, problem-oriented treatment for mental conditions or problematic health behaviors.
- Manage behavioral health crises through appropriate interventions.
- Provide documentation in accordance with standards of practice and established policies and procedures of the Ranch and accrediting and regulatory standards.
