Miami Job Corps is an education and training center located in Miami Gardens FL We are a Center which uses student-focused programs to ensure successful training and employment placement for each individual we serve.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm WEEKENDS OFF!!

Responsible to provide respective department with administrative and technical support. Assists and coordinates special projects and provides support to other departments as required.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Advance degrees preferred. A minimum of three years secretarial experience required. Degree or certification from an accredited or relevant certified training program. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications is required.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

  • Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures; ensure no manipulation of student data.

  • Conduct research, prepare statistical reports, handle information requests, and perform clerical functions (documentation, mail distribution, correspondence, visitor reception, conference calls, meeting scheduling, and travel arrangements as needed).

  • Ensure timely submission, logging, and tracking of all Center contract deliverables, requests, reports, and correspondence. Draft, proof, and distribute correspondence to maintain high-quality internal/external communications with the Corporate Office, Department of Labor, and external partners.

  • Maintain Job Corps/Company systems and libraries, which may include: CIS, OA, CTS, CSSR, SMR, ABRA, MAS200, FMS, eRequester, School Dude, PRH, JC Program Instructions, JC Information Notices, regional directives, and SOPs.

  • Keep the work area organized, clean, safe, and conducive to student and staff success.

  • Prepare, coordinate, and distribute the Center’s weekly newsletter; collect articles and highlights; prepare and distribute meeting minutes.

  • Produce accurate, thorough, and timely work assignments.

  • Maintain appropriate attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.

  • Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.

  • Apply job knowledge effectively and proactively maintain the skills required to perform duties.

  • Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.

  • Show respect and courtesy to students while holding them accountable for their actions and behavior.

  • Provide quality programs and services for students, ensuring needs are met and quality is maintained; pursue continuous improvement.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; contribute meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge.

  • Provide timely, accurate information to the DOL/Company when requested.

  • Identify problems, analyze causes, evaluate solutions, and follow up to ensure corrective action is taken.

  • Collaborate with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and student services.

  • Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer, or Shift Manager, including temporary assignments in other departments as needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
