Job Overview:
As part of our commitment to being at the forefront of educational technology, we need an IT Intern that is a partner in providing the best tech solutions for our school under minimal supervision. From troubleshooting, maintaining, and researching technology for the classroom to managing the re-imaging of all desktop and tablet PCs for a fresh start to the new school year, our IT Intern ensures the smooth transition of technology for a successful new school year at St. Thomas School.
General Responsibilities:
- Installs, maintains and updates hardware and software (PCs, iOS devices, printers, and accessories)
- Manages inventory, user accounts and licenses
- Works with Active Directory and Group Policy
- Troubleshoots software, hardware and network problems
- Documents and updates procedures, and develops policies to enhance IT security
- Researches and evaluates hardware, software, technology services and web applications
- Uses 3D design software, laser cutter and 3D printers
