Position OverviewÂ
We are seeking a credentialed, collaborative, and student-centered Registered Dietitian (RD) to lead nutrition strategy, compliance, training, and culinary collaboration across our national K–12 portfolio. The RD will play a critical role in menu innovation, nutritional analysis, audit readiness, and staff development while serving as a trusted partner to our school-based teams and clients.Â

This is a remote role with significant travel to school district sites and regional operations hubs. Candidates should be based near a major airport, ideally in New Orleans, New Mexico, DC, Boston or surrounding areas.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Menu Planning, Nutrition, & ComplianceÂ
- Lead compliant and culturally relevant menu planning in proprietary software, ensuring alignment with NSLP and SBP guidelinesÂ
- Manage ingredient databases, recipe development, nutrient analysis, allergen tagging, food costing, and add meals plans accommodating children with disabilitiesÂ
- Support and manage USDA compliance through regular internal audits, documentation, and corrective action plansÂ
- Collaborate with chefs and procurement teams on ingredient selection and strategic sourcingÂ
Education, Training & CommunicationÂ
- Develop and deliver nutrition-related training for staff, including food allergy protocols and USDA updatesÂ
- Maintain and update training modules and resources across platformsÂ
- Lead school-facing nutrition education programs Â
Leadership & Operational SupportÂ
- Conduct field visits to observe service, support site-level staff, and provide nutrition and compliance coachingÂ
- Manage food service leads at commissary kitchens and partner schools as neededÂ
- Contribute to the implementation and evaluation of sustainability and wellness initiativesÂ
- Support implementation of tools including Microsoft Office, Slack, and nutrient analysis/menu planning softwareÂ
