ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for monitoring incoming payments, billing clients across multiple verticals, and ensuring account accuracy. The AR Specialist will collaborate with finance, accounting, and operations teams to support overall financial health and reporting integrity.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets.

• Analyze AR balances and prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.

• Maintain regular communication with clients to request payments and resolve outstanding balances.

• Accurately record all incoming payments, including partial and overpayments.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, including past-due accounts.

• Update and maintain customer account records with current payment and contact information.

• Perform account reconciliations and monthly reviews to ensure accuracy.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline AR processes and recommend policy improvements.

• Support additional projects and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or similar finance roles.

• Strong analytical skills and experience in analyzing AR data.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiar with financial systems.

• Solid understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in the food service, hospitality, or construction industry is a plus.

• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
