Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is currently seeking a Senior Sales Director TX/OK. The Sr. Sales Director will be responsible for the planning and implementation of all tactical sales activities as well as trade/customer marketing activities to enhance the growth and profitability of the DFWS brand portfolio in the market.  This role reports to the General Manager, Central and must be in Texas or Oklahoma.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and action opportunities to grow DFWS portfolio across the Texas and Oklahoma marketplace
  • Penetrate chains at multiple levels to develop collaborative plans to grow mutual market share faster than the remaining market
  • Develop and implement category management strategies and capabilities that expands the DFWS portfolio
  • Prioritize business development opportunities, identify levers for future growth, and develop a tactical plan to drive volume though:
    • Increased distribution, improved promotion effectiveness, or other tactics
    • Ensure DFWS brands achieve programming goals including fair share or better of activity

 

  • Manage, develop and coach Regional Managers responsible for the development and business performance within the market.
  • Collaborate with Regional Managers on the excellent execution to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop best in class customer relationships with key accounts
    • Ensure alignment of DFWS plans with key customer strategies, plans and goals
    • Ensure appropriate execution tactics are in place to maximize effectiveness of our plans and programs
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure implementation of national retail strategies
    • Influence program development to support on and off-premise sales efforts, and provide direction on strategies
    • Leverage the Customer Marketing role to develop unique or exclusive products/programs that support the attainment of our profit goals and improve our endearment to our strategic partners.
  • Monitor the retail environment and be an expert on trends and developments as it relates to key accounts, future growth, and new selling ideas

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in senior sales management role in the beverage alcohol industry
  • Proven track record of building long range strategy and time bound tactics to achieve strategic objectives
  • History of driving organizational change to optimize sales development and ROI
  • Strong track record of delivering sales and exceeding targets. High results-orientation.
  • Very strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • High analytical and fact-based selling aptitude
  • Highly skilled at rigorous performance management and course correction
  • Able to build powerful and influential cross-functional relationships across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate the gravitas to establish strong relationships at all levels to effectively influence assortment and programming decisions
  • Proven experience leading and developing direct reports
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Solid computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Strong pricing, programming and financial management skills
