Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is currently seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Sales Analytics to join our growing Commercial Insights team. Reporting to the Associate Director – CI Performance Management, this role is a key business partner to Sales leadership and field teams. The Sr. BI Analyst will drive local program performance tracking, sales analytics, and reporting automation that support DFWS's volume growth and execution across key markets. The position is flexible.

Responsibilities:
Business Performance Reporting & Analytics:
- Partner with Regional and District Managers to design, track, and optimize local sales programs.
- Develop and maintain user-friendly tools and dashboards that provide visibility into key sales metrics across multiple markets.
- Support evaluation of local sales initiatives by conducting in-depth analysis, establishing relevant KPIs, and identifying market-level trends and opportunities.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks or opportunities within market-level sales performance and assist RMs/DMs in course correction.
- Deliver clean, timely reporting that reinforces urgency, accountability, and field activation.
- Contribute to annual planning through planning tools and analysis for local goal setting and prioritization.

Technical Acumen:
- Lead automation of local performance reporting through DFWS’s enterprise data lake and BI tools
- Translate business needs from the field into technical specs, partnering with IT to deliver self-service and scalable reporting solutions.
- Maintain data integrity and troubleshoot anomalies in internal reporting systems.
- Contribute to a standardized approach for sharing sales insights across teams with clarity, consistency, and credibility.

Collaboration/Communication:
- Serve as the go-to analytics partner for Sales RMs and DMs, providing timely support for programming performance, measurement tools, and local tracking.
- Collaborate with distributor counterparts to ensure reporting aligns with national strategy while meeting local execution needs.
- Work with IT and BI teams to develop and evolve reporting automation and streamlined tracking capabilities.
- Provide insight and recommendations to Sales leadership on emerging trends and local performance drivers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field required
- 3–5 years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, or commercial performance, preferably within CPG or beverage alcohol.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Excel (macros, Power Query, Power Pivot), and PowerPoint.
- Experience with business intelligence platforms (Cognos, Tableau, Power BI); data lake or cloud-based data environments a plus.
- Familiarity with syndicated data (Circana/IRI) helpful but not required
- Proven ability to automate reporting and drive adoption of self-service tools
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate sales trends into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Self-starter with high energy, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for helping field teams succeed.
