EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, public administration, or a related field required.
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales, preferably in the infrastructure or public sector.
• Proven track record of securing new business, penetrating new markets, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Prior experience working with departments such as transportation departments, water/wastewater authorities, or the U.S. Air Force or Army strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with public sector procurement, military sustainment programs, or infrastructure funding and policy frameworks is a plus.
• Proficient in CRM systems, sales pipeline tracking, and performance measurement tools.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and executive-level relationship management skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional verbal, written, and public speaking skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, including executives, government officials, and global partners. Skilled in drafting clear reports, proposals, and strategic communications, and experienced in interpreting technical publications, industry standards, and regulatory documents. Proven ability to prepare high-impact presentations, briefings, and white papers for senior-level and international stakeholders. Strong relationship-building skills across political, defense, and cross-cultural contexts are essential.
MATHEMATICAL and ANALITICAL SKILLS
Brings advanced quantitative and analytical capabilities to support business development, financial modeling, performance tracking, and strategic forecasting. Applies business math concepts such as ratios, Rate of Investment (ROI) analysis, and pricing strategy to real-world scenarios. Able to interpret engineering data, dashboards, and market insights to guide strategic decisions and identify new growth opportunities. Proficient in the use of CRM systems and performance tools to evaluate and optimize sales and business initiatives.
REASONING ABILITY
Exhibits strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, assess complex situations, and develop actionable strategies. Skilled in interpreting written, verbal, and visual inputs to address operational challenges and adapt plans to dynamic business environments.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration, staff development, and strategic execution. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and association-specific systems. Known for professionalism, adaptability, and discretion, with the ability to build trust and influence across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
