POSITION SUMMARY

The role of a Behavioral Health Clinician working with Holocaust Survivors is to provide high quality clinical services consistent with the agency mission and professional standard practices.   The clinician will provide assessment, evaluation and counseling services to individuals, families and groups as assigned.  The Behavioral Health Clinician will utilize evidence based therapeutic skills to address the client’s presenting issues and promote healing and growth.  The Behavioral Health Clinician must uphold the agency’s mission and values and be a loyal ambassador of the agency.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides counseling as part of the client’s treatment plan using evidence based and age appropriate modalities including but not limited to individual and family therapy as appropriate, to address the needs of the client(s).

  • Conduct home visits as appropriate.

  • Maintains an active caseload.

  • Collaborate with the JFS staff to address the clients’ needs and make appropriate referrals. Provide case management services to clients as needed. 

  • Provides services that are of the highest standard and that are culturally relevant to the clients served.

  • Coordinates concrete services as part of the treatment plan.

  • Organizes and facilitates groups and serves as a speaker on the agency's behalf.

  • Support outreach efforts and special programs.

  • Advocates on behalf of clients, when appropriate.

  • Work with HSC director and team to collect and report data for HSC grants. Maintain documentation to meet all grant requirements. 

  • Performs intake, on call, and other direct services as required

  • Attend PCTI trainings and support or develop educational initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Graduate from an accredited master's level school with course work emphasizing clinical training

  • LCSW, LMSW, PhD

  • Ability to convey empathy and concern for individuals and their families

  • Ability to be flexible to handle the versatility of the position and its periodic crises

  • Ability to conduct home visits safely

  • Comply with credentialing process and complete prior to hire
