Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Construction Laborer to assist with construction and repair tasks across our residential properties. This role supports the maintenance team by performing light construction, renovation, and repair work to ensure units and facilities are safe, functional, and presentable for residents and staff. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and knowledgeable in various aspects of property upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic construction and repair tasks, including drywall patching, painting, framing, flooring, and minor plumbing or electrical support
- Assist with unit turnovers, renovations, and maintenance projects
- Help demo and prepare vacant units for rehab or remodeling
- Install fixtures, cabinets, doors, baseboards, and other finish carpentry as needed
- Assist skilled trades (plumbers, HVAC techs, electricians) on-site with labor and prep work
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, tools, and storage areas
- Load and unload materials, furniture, and equipment
- Ensure work complies with building codes and safety standards
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report issues or material needs to supervisors
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and bending
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Able to operate hand and power tools safely

Why not? We are not going to hide the fact that this can be hard work. You will be working in unoccupied apartments that may have been left in a variety of conditions. Working safely is our primary concern, but sometimes ick is unavoidable, so be sure this is not creepy and too grimy for you. Global warming is real, and we are fighting that every day, but the reality is you will be working in the hot and cold weather of the Sacramento Valley and surrounding areas it can be tough some days. You are also going to have days you mess up; if you cannot take responsibility nor do you have the desire to learn from those moments this may not be for you.
