JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team, focusing on affordable and sustainable housing solutions, particularly within low-income communities throughout the great Bay Area, Napa, Solano, Sacramento and San Joaquin counties. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with heat-pump Furnaces, mobile home HVAC as well as proficiency in conducting HVAC tune-ups. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of energy-efficient heating and cooling services that align with our commitment to sustainability and affordability.

RESPONSITILITIES:

  • Design, coordination, Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, and traditional gas/electric for both residential and commercial
  • Conduct thorough HVAC system tune-ups to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Must have 2 + years training and managing crews effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Provide expert advice and support on the latest HVAC technologies and energy-saving practices and a solid understanding of city, county and energy program installation standards for compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations related to HVAC installations and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in affordable, sustainable, or low-income housing projects.
  • Hands-on experience with heat-pump furnaces is essential.
  • EPA / HVAC Certificate or equivalent vocational training is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with AC Tune Up software’s and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage crews, with a solid track record in project management, budgeting, and inventory control.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, team members, and external partners.
  • Commitment to promoting sustainable and energy-efficient practices within the community.
