This position reports to the Manager – Warehouse. Driver – Non CDL is responsible for delivery of product to customer and/or picking up returns from customers, using a Company provided vehicle. Responsibilities also lie in loading and unloading trucks daily for delivery. This position may also be responsible for warehouse duty, along with representing the company in a positive manner, and keeping good customer relations.
The primary job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Loads and unloads trucks both manually and using forklifts, pallet jacks or hand trucks
- Transport products (cased goods, drums, pails, bulk, etc.) to customer
- Represent the company in a positive way, showing good customer relation skills
- Perform pre trip, and post trip inspections which includes checking gasoline, oil, water, and tires and fills as required. Record any malfunctions of equipment on the Inspection Sheet which is reviewed by the supervisor and Safety Manager
- Possess the ability to handle money from customers and be able to make change if necessary
- Maintain a satisfactory attendance record
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, work stations and shipping supply areas neat in the warehouse. Complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures, rules and regulations
- May be responsible for back warehouse duties when needed
