The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for inventory procedures to make meaningful suggestions for inventory improvement. Responsibilities include maintaining and publishing weekly inventory metrics, completing receiving entries for off-site warehouse inventory, assisting in reconciliation of on-hand quantities, and completing daily or weekly cycle counts. This is a shop floor position providing decision making in areas including receiving of raw materials, organization, cycle counting, issuing material to jobs and problem solving.Â
Along with inventory clerk responsibilities, this role will also track progress of production and react promptly when various issues occur that do not allow production to fully complete production orders. This role is a key component in expediting Doorskins (particularly specials) to meet 100% on time customer delivery targets.

Responsibilities:
•   Verify accurate usage of all raw materials.
•   Conduct inventory management around stock adjustments, cycle counting, and issues of materials to jobs.
•   Set up inventory locations, keeping materials organized, and maximizing space utilization.
•   Oversee inventory receipts of raw materials.
•   Assist with the scheduling, coordination, and implementation of physical inventories. Reconcile results from physical inventories expeditiously and accurately.
•   Provide analysis of inventory adjustments or revisions and ensure adjustments are audited, inspected, and properly tracked and documented.
•   Interfaces closely with Quality Manager on incoming material inspections to ensure accuracy and qualify of raw materials meet Masonite supplier quality standards.
•   Report errors with Bill of Material (BOM) issues.
•   Verify production labels and production reporting accuracy.
•   Train personnel on systems and processes as it relates to inventory Bin Location movement and adherence to the documented process.
•   Provide support and maintain open communication with plant management staff.
•   Microsoft Dynamics AX interface for all required production and scheduling issues or requested changes.
•   Must maintain a high level of flexibility to be able to react immediately to various inventory or production issues. With this flexibility, must be able to work side by side with production management and procurement to rectify issues with lead time and inventory constraints.
•   Must maintain constant communication between and among customer service, purchasing, manufacturing, and shipping both internal and external.
•   Review back-order report and do follow up.
•   Confer with department leaders and supervisors to determine progress of work and completion and compile reports on progress of work.
•   Ability to follow through with requests in a timely and efficient manner. Must clearly document all actions in the system so that customer service has access to the most up-to-date information.
•   Learn production scheduling process and act as back-up production scheduler as necessary.
•   Other duties as assigned/needed.
