Description

  • Univista Insurance is looking for a Compliance Assistant to support the compliance department in ensuring that the company adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will assist with monitoring, reviewing, and maintaining compliance records, preparing reports, and helping with audits. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of industry regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

      Compliance Monitoring:

  • Assist in reviewing company practices and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Help track and maintain regulatory documentation and records.
  • Report Preparation & Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain compliance-related reports and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing materials for audits, internal reviews, and regulatory filings.
  • Regulatory Research:

  • Stay updated on changes to regulations and laws that impact the company.
  • Conduct research and assist in interpreting and applying regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Administrative Support:

  • Support compliance officers with administrative tasks related to compliance training, audits, and investigations.
  • Communicate with departments to ensure adherence to compliance procedures.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, Law, or a related field is a plus.
  • Attributes:

  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities, Bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  •  
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory compliance processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in compliance, legal, or administrative support (preferred).
  • Familiarity with insurance industry regulations is a plus.
