We’re looking for a creative and passionate Video Editor who loves telling stories through video and wants to help share the heart of First Pres with our community. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Communications Team to edit and produce videos that inspire, inform, and engage—whether it’s for worship, church events, social media, or digital outreach. Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (in related field) required.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working in digital and multimedia production.
  • Proficiency in Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and willingness to learn Davinci Resolve.
  • Experience with multi-format and multi-camera editing environments.
  • Proven skills in project management, post-production workflow, and asset management.

Skills Requirements:

  • Advanced editing skills: color grading, sound design, mix levels, and editing theory.
  • Strong understanding of motion graphics and ability to integrate provided assets.
  • Ability to organize and archive content for easy repurposing and collaboration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for editing systems, data pipelines, and storage management.
  • Production skills in lighting, audio, and camera operations.
  • Excellent communication skills for inter-departmental collaboration

Position Requirements:

  • Serve as the lead editor on all video projects, maintaining quality and consistency in all edits.
  • Color grade, edit music tracks, sound design, and implement motion graphics.
  • Integrate graphics provided by Communications and produce custom motion graphics as needed.
  • Ensure cross-collaborative workflows are efficient and accessible for team members and contractors.
  • Provide project setup and assist as needed on video shoots for the Video Director or other contractors.
  • Organize & archive projects and footage for future repurposing.
  • Maintain and manage past and present assets, ensuring archival content is easily accessible.
  • Oversee post-production workflow to ensure on-time delivery of content.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Social Media Manager to provide social media-friendly edits.
  • Assist Communications in pulling social media clips from long-form content, such as sermons or podcast, etc.
  • Deliver web-ready video content, including banner and training videos.
  • Edit video for major church initiatives, sermon series, ministry support, events, podcast, website banners, and repurposed content.
  • Support in-house shooting of interviews and other projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with volunteer staff on content production.
  • Stay up-to-date on new workflows, equipment, and data management best practices.
  • Work with IT for maintenance of editing systems, software, and storage.
  • Other duties as applicable to the position or to advance the ministry of First Pres.
