Juliet, Nashville, and Murfreesboro offices.

Purpose of Job

We are seeking an experienced, client-facing Fractional CFO to provide high-level financial strategy, forecasting, and operational guidance to a portfolio of our clients. You will work directly with business owners, executive teams, and our internal accounting staff to drive growth, optimize profitability, and support long-term success across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as an outsourced CFO for multiple clients, advising on financial strategy, business planning, and cash flow management.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, KPIs, and dashboards tailored to client goals.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.
  • Support M&A activities, capital raises, and lender negotiations when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal accountants, tax advisors, and other team members to deliver integrated financial services.
  • Present financial results and strategy recommendations to client leadership on a regular basis (monthly/quarterly).
  • Help clients strengthen internal financial processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact client operations.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles (CFO, VP of Finance, Controller).
  • Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses, especially in an advisory or consulting capacity.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and cash flow management expertise.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and reporting tools; familiarity with other ERP/accounting systems a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and switch contexts easily.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for helping businesses grow.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Proven ability to turn financial insights into actionable strategies.
